Booking and billing for venues
2026
Hall Ease
Bookings, itemised bills and branded receipts for marriage halls, sold to venue owners as a monthly subscription.
The challenge
What made this hard
Marriage halls run on a paper diary and the manager's memory. Dates get double-booked, advances get argued over because nobody wrote down who paid what, and the owner has no idea how the month went until it is already over. The software had to be simple enough for a hall manager who has never used a business system, and strict enough that the money always adds up.
The approach
How we tackled it
One source of truth for money. Every price, discount and payment runs through the same place, so the booking screen, the receipt and the monthly report can never disagree with each other.
A booking cannot skip steps. It moves from enquiry to confirmed to settled in order, and each step is recorded, so there is always an answer to who agreed what and when.
Each hall's data is separated from every other hall's at the foundation, not by hoping the software remembers to check.
Owners on the entry plan can see the higher-plan features inside the product with a padlock on them, which is what actually persuades an existing customer to upgrade.
Delivered
What we built
Bookings and calendar
Date and slot management that refuses to double-book, with deposits recorded and a clear status on every booking.
Itemised billing
Per-head catering, decor, extras and discounts on one bill, with every payment logged against it and a running balance the owner can trust.
Branded receipts
Printable bills and receipts carrying the hall's own logo. That is the piece the customer keeps, and the piece the owner is judged on.
Multiple venues and staff logins
Owners running more than one venue manage them all from one account, with extra logins for staff on the plans that include them.
Reporting
Revenue, outstanding balances and booking mix, so the owner can see how the month is going while it is still going.
Outcome
Where it stands today
Hall Ease is live and in daily use by paying venues, with owners signing up, subscribing and running their bookings without anyone needing to set it up for them by hand.
